Grilled Margarita Pizza with Pesto

Grilled Margarita Pizza with Pesto

store bought pizza dough
2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
1 6-8 ounce fresh mozzarella ball, sliced
jar of store bought pesto
fresh basil, for garnish
olive oil

Preheat gas grill.

Remove dough for container and lightly brush dough with some oil. Carefully flip dough, oiled side down, with your hands onto middle of lightly oiled grill rack and brush top of dough with oil. 

Grill crusts, uncovered, until underside is golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes on gas grill.  Flip crusts over with tongs. 

Spread pesto evenly over dough (cooked side). 
Layer tomatoes and fresh mozzarella slices over pesto sauce.
Grill pizza, covered with grill lid, until underside is golden brown and cheese is melted, about 3 minutes.  Remove grilled pizza with tongs. 

Scatter basil over pizza.
Serves: 2-4
